What is Task N Match and how do I start?
Task N Match connects you with verified local professionals. Submit your request, we match you, and you pay into escrow. Funds are released only after you approve the work.
When is my card charged?
For small jobs (≤ $1,000), your card is charged when a Tasker accepts the job. Funds stay in escrow until completion. For premium jobs ($1k+), a deposit is charged up front and milestones are charged as agreed.
What’s included in the 3% client service fee?
Payment processing (Stripe), secure escrow, dispute handling, platform operations, and tasker verification. You’ll always see your total before confirming.
How are quotes and milestones set?
Your Tasker proposes a scope and price. For larger projects, the price is split into milestones (e.g., deposit, mid-project, completion). You review and approve before any charges beyond the deposit.
Can Taskers buy materials?
Yes. Material costs are typically included in the quote or billed as a milestone. Keep receipts in the message thread for transparency.
What if I need to reschedule?
You can reschedule before work starts at no charge. Short-notice changes may incur a small fee if the Tasker has already traveled or purchased materials.
How does escrow release work?
For small jobs, we release payment ~24h after you confirm completion (or automatically if no issues are reported). For premium projects, each milestone is released after you approve photo/document proof.
What if I’m unhappy with the work?
Open a dispute in your job thread. We’ll pause payment, review photos/messages, and suggest a resolution (touch-ups, partial refund, or re-assignment). Funds remain in escrow until the case is closed.
Are Taskers licensed or insured?
Regulated trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) must hold appropriate licensing. Some Taskers also carry general liability insurance. We highlight verified credentials on profiles and job threads.
What’s the cancellation & refund policy?
Cancellations before work starts are typically refundable (minus fees). Premium deposits may be partially non-refundable if custom materials are purchased or work has begun. We aim for fair outcomes based on documentation.
